Located only 25 minutes from Melbourne CBD, these four architecturally designed townhouses are the first of their kind within the Heidelberg West area.
In order to deliver these four individual townhouses, MLD Studio delivered distinct facade variations to articulate each streetscape. The corner site location meant that both street façades were visible, and had to be equally considered in their visual appeal and address to their respective street. Tight site dimensions also dictated an efficiency of planning design which has created free-flowing open plan living which direct access to adjacent outdoor spaces. Upstairs bedrooms are functional and make use of the views to adjacent parkland and rear gardens depending on orientation.
The design response satisfied the local councils’ private open space requirements while maximising the site’s yield.
